The RS Series Standard Planetary Roller Screw sets the benchmark for high-load precision transmission by leveraging a multi-roller planetary design that distributes forces across numerous threaded contact lines. This configuration replaces conventional ball-to-raceway point contact with continuous line engagement, substantially increasing both dynamic and static load ratings. In accordance with Hertzian stress theory, the RS series delivers up to three times the static load capacity and approximately 1.5 times the operational lifespan of equivalent ball screws. The enhanced load distribution also improves impact resistance and reduces wear, ensuring reliable long-term performance in demanding applications.
 
Speed and Acceleration
Designed for high dynamic performance, the RS Series supports exceptional rotational speeds and acceleration capabilities. The planetary roller mechanism minimizes inertial resistance and enables smooth, high-velocity operation—often exceeding 3,000 rpm with acceleration levels reaching up to 3g. Unlike ball screws constrained by recirculating ball size, the RS lead can be specified as integer, fractional, or application-specific values (e.g., 2.5mm or 6.35mm per revolution), eliminating the need for external gearing and enhancing motion control efficiency.
